here's drive times heading out now -- from the altamont pass to the dublin interchange, highway 4 westbound. new morning, oakland police are investigating an overnight shooting that could have ended tragically for a huge extended family. a sleeping boy was hit and a baby could have been. terry mcsweeney was first inside the home and joins us live from oakland police headquarters. >> reporter: abc7 news first on the scene and they allowed us to go into the house and it was absolutely amazing, nine people in that house, including a four-month-old girl. one child hit and he is going to be okay. take a look at this house on macon road over near 880 and 98th avenue not far from the airport, at least 15 bullets fired into that house from outside. one bullet went through two walls and a door and hit 11-year-old luis hernandez as

he slept into the -- slept in the bottom of a bunk bed, hit in the chest he's going to be okay two sisters, two brothers, both parents, two uncles, all in that house. his brother described the scene. >> i heard screaming i got out and saw smoke coming out her room and i saw my grandma, mom crying i saw my little brother with blood on his chest he was like i got shot he was going around like crazy. >> reporter: that smoke he talked about powder from the sheetrock that's a picture of l is hernandez from a couple of years ago -- pick of luis hernandez from a couple of years ago. the house has never been targeted in any way, shape or form. they tell us little luis after he was shot got up in a state

ignited a huge fire. the gas station attendant says he immediately ran out and pushed the automatic shut-off valve, there was still enough gas if the lines to fuel a fire that burned several cars. both drivers escaped without injury amy hollyfield will have a live report from the scene in 30 minutes. 6:05. palo alto police are alerting people to be on look out for suspected groper getting more aggressive. latest incident yesterday morning in palo alto park. the woman was out jogging the man grabbed her from behind, tried to pull her to the ground. she managed to get away and chase him down while calling 911. investigators posted fliers at the park with any sketches they believe it is the same man who committed similar crimes in the past month. walnut creek man dead after drowning in mexico while on vacation. it happened yesterday in

highway 29 at old lolly toll road. 101 through marin, 680 san ramon and 880 past oakland airport on the 238. new this morning, oakland police investigating early morning shooting that injured 11-year-old boy one of nine family members in the home when somebody opened fire hitting the house with at least 15 bullets. one bullet went through two walls and hit luis hernandez in the chest. he was taken to the hospital in serious condition. his family says he will be okay. a four-month-old baby in the home was not hurt. the family says they don't know why the house was shot up and have no reason to be targets. police investigating separate shooting near mills college martinez gas station remains closed this morning with major damage after it was

scorched in a bizarre accident call the on camera amy hollyfield joins us live from the gas station. >> reporter: check this out, this used to be a gas pump, you can barely recognize it now. people who were here say it went up so fast and it was so scary. now take a look at this, here is the moment that it happened, video of the car backing up to the pump and hitting it. a man who was working at the gas station said he heard a very loud kaboom. people who live a few blocks away told abc7, they too her the bursts of explosions they said. those who were here pumping gas say it was terrifying. the fire not only burned the station, but also two cars while the owners of those cars took off running. alan wang caught up with the driver who hit the pump. >> reporter: can you tell us what happened? >> accident, i don't know itch >> reporter: did you lose control? was the car fudging properly?
